Reds Take Exciting First Game in Milwaukee

This was a very exciting game tonight as the Reds got the best of the Brew Crew by a final of 6-5. It has got to feel good to take the first game of such a big road series. The Reds can actually head into the break with a head of steam with another win in the final two games this weekend.

Josh Fogg threw what I would say was his best start ever in a Reds uniform. The numbers are bit deceiving as he only gave up one hit and three runs. Josh allowed a home run to Ryan Braun on an 0-2 pitch, and that was really about the only mistake he made. With two walks and six strikeouts I think Josh Fogg and Dusty Baker was very well pleased tonight.

It was a very close game the whole way as the Reds and Brewers took turns answering the bell each time they needed to. Going into the ninth with a one run lead it was going to take another answer from the Brewers to take this much needed game from the Reds. It was not to be though as Reds closer Francisco Cordero coming into the game to a chorus of boos from his former teams fan's held the home team in check for his 19th save.

Tomorrow has Edinson Volquez taking the mound trying guarantee the Reds a winning series in Miluakee as he goes for his twelve win of the season. Edinson will also make his first all-star game appearance on Tuesday night in the Big Apple as Yankee stadium hosts it's final all-star game.
