Reds Win With The Long Ball.....Avoid The Sweep

It was a day for the Cub fans to have sore arms. With the Reds smashing seven home runs on Thursday afternoon at Wrigley Field, the Cub fans might wake up Friday morning with some sore arms throwing all those bombs back onto the field.......My previous post told you what I think of this tradition. I hope they all can't raise their drunken arms tomorrow.

At least the Reds got out of town on a positive note and head to Milwaukee on a somewhat positive note. With Bronson Arroyo not having his best stuff, but still enough to earn the win, the home run barrage picked up the slack for him.

With every hitter in the starting lineup getting at least one hit, here are the guys that left the yard for the Reds:

Edwin Encarnacion.....#14
Brandon Phillips......#15
Griffey Jr. ..........#12.......and 605th of his "Hall of Fame Career"
David Ross............#2 and #3
Adam Dunn.............#24 all the way on to Waveland Avenue
Joey Votto............#13

In another note it was reported on FSN this afternoon that Homer Bailey will be taking Aaron Harrang's turn in the rotation on Sunday........Good Luck to you Homer, prove you are worthy to stay around longer this time!!!!!!!!!
